What is unique about Unger Unmuzzled Shepherds are the quality and type of shepherds that we bring to families. Our shepherds are a beautiful mix of West German showline shepherds and Czech working line German shepherds. The west showline shepherds tend to have a longer plush coat and are known for their obedient and laid back temperament. On the other hand you also have that mix of Czech german shepherd which brings the working line and high focus drive to our shepherds. More about the breed
Although shepherds are a very cute and cuddly bear looking puppy when you first take them home, and they are filled with so much cuddly sweetness there is something to remember when taking a german shepherd home. German shepherd originated in Germany in the 19th century, Max von stephanitz was the one who first bred German shepherds. Max bred this type of dog during wartime and wanted to create the perfect shepherd dog that was intelligent, durable, and had a high sense of smell. They were originally used as herding dogs then later in WWI become of importance in combat. Due to their herding nature, and high drive german shepherd are high attention drive as well as protective instincts. Just remember one thing when you take your puppy home-training starts on day one!!! So please train your shepherd accordingly. Shepherds are the type of dog that need lots of attention, and outdoor time. Please be mindful when taking them home and plan according to your lifestyle.

Bear is a west showline german shepherd and has a more laid back nature to him. He is part of a champion bloodline and is very beautiful in color. He is a long haired shepherd with a black and red color coat making an absolutely stunning West German Shepherd. Dam-Xena
Xena is our German shepherd that we personally own. She is pure czech blood line or most commonly known as the working line blood line. She has a high energy and high drive. She is always alert and is looking for her next job. We got Xena from a kennel in texas and we have her full pedigree along with any hip and bone scans that she has. PUPPIES
Our puppies are Czech German Shepherd/West German shepherd puppies. The Dad (sire) is a champion blood line West German Showline shepherd. He has a long coat with red and black colors. Mom (dam) is a Czech working-line German Shepherd. Her coat being shorter with a sable color. With the mix of bear and Xena they have a cool temperament with a high working drive. Frequently asked Questions:
- Can we meet the parents?
No. We do not allow anyone to meet our parents. We do offer via video chat calls. The reason that we do not allow any of the new owners of the puppies to meet the parents are the following reasons.
1. It puts stress on the mom. Xena does not know you, although you are not bad Xena is protective over her puppies and we do not want mom being stressed because she is protecting her puppies.
2. Parvo is a very serious illness when it comes to puppies. We are not going to allow anyone to meet xena because she is an adult-so therefore she does walk on the ground and she can track in parvo to any of our puppies. So, due to precaution we do NOT let any one do meet and greets with the parents. However, we do offer meet and greets with the puppies. The regulation is they must NOT be put on the ground, more information about meet in greets given when scheduling them.
- Do you offer breeding rights?
No, we do not offer breeding rights to anyone we sell our puppies to. We are the ones that are breeding Xena and taking the time and effort to make sure that xena and her puppies are safe and go to healthy homes. We are the breeders and for the time being we do not give breeding rights to anyone under any circumstances. Maybe later in the future when we are done breeding but for now it's a hard no.
